Burning Daylight: Small Business Blog of the Day
by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): March 31, 2006Today's blog of the day is late. It's technically tomorrow already, but you'll have to forgive me and accept this post for today (Thursday, 3-30).
We're featuring our first of hopefully many photographers today. Photography, to me, seems like a natural fit for a small business blog. Any artistic endeavor does actually, as the aesthetic impulse for art transcends any geographical border. It just makes sense that you would want a forum to display your work to the world, and what better way to show your art and your personality than through a blog?
What it is
Burning Daylight is the blog for professional photographer Ethan Miller.
Features
This is a photoblog, strictly a photoblog. There is very little text except a short description here and there.
Favorite Post
The site is called 'Burning Daylight' for a reason. Miller features several landscapes like the one I've chosen above. While his photography alternates between landscapes, nature shots, and candids, the landscapes are what really draw me in. Other than the one I've shown above called, Sunset 3/06/05, my favorite is Almost a Rainbow which brings back a high school field trip to Amish country that involved a baseball game, a thunderstorm, and a girl I was hopelessly crushing on. That memory happened in Pennsylvania, this picture was taken (I think) in Iowa. But looking at the photo gives me the same feeling of that memory. I love it when photos do that!
