Small Business Blog of the Day: Kite Aerial Photography
by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): March 9, 2006
The blog features rotating pictures at the top of the page (hit refresh to see different images) taken from a kite. These photos are quite remarkable, and gives you the first impression that they are taken from a helicopter because of the perspective of the photos. However, the images seem to take on a different light when it's revealed that they were shot from a graceful, quiet kite, rather than an invasive helicopter.
Subjects such as cows and sunbathers are phtographed undisturbed in their environments and the observer is reminded of the serenity of kite flying even when viewing landscapes or seashores. Although the shots could have been matched from a helicopter, knowing these shots were taken from a kite allows me to enjoy the photo with more serenity somehow.
The blog is updated only a few times a month, but contains a nice balance between highlighting "KAPer's" photographs, building a KAP community, and plugging products in the KAPshop's website.
