A Day in the Life of a Missouri Winery: Small Business Blog of the Day
by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): April 28, 2006
For the last installment of Wine Week, we travel to the heartland and find a winery in Missouri. In a discussion last night about wine-making states, California came up, as did Oregon, Washington, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and Oklahoma (if your favorite winery is in another state, please let us know in the comments). Missouri did not come up, yet we find one of the most charming winery blogs from The Show Me State.
What it is
A Day in the Life of a Missouri Winery is the blog for the Sainte Genevieve Winery in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri.
Features
Elaine Mooney writes the blog for the family-owned vineyard. She serves as the "enologist" (winemaker) to the vineyard and has a great beginning to a successful business blog.
Favorite Post
There aren't a lot to choose from yet, but the whole blog has a very personal feel. You really get a sense of the family and the country-living philosophy from the posts (hard working, laid back, straightforward). This post sums up those qualities for me.
"This is the beginning of the trellis. It was a good day, we got a lot done, and the weather was chilly, but pleasant."
Further Comments
The blog is a mere two months old, but already provides a good amount of content with one of the highest densities of pictures/blog posts I've seen this week. Pictures are good! Keep adding them to your blogs everyone.

Excuse my type-o, and thanks for the nice words. We're doing what we love over here, and it's nice to be able to share it.
