Ethan Miller: Small Business Blog Interview
by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): April 22, 2006
Ethan Miller sends us these follow-up answers to our questions about his blog, Burning Daylight featured on March 31:
Pajama Market: How has the blog impacted your company?
Ethan Miller: When I started my blog just over a year ago, it was just for fun, and as a convenient way of sharing my photos with friends & family. Only in the last several months have I decided to try and make a business of photography.
At this point I am adding to my library of images in hopes of being able to do business with some of the larger stock agencies, and submitting to various magazines. I also plan on putting out a calendar of my best landscape photos for next year. I may also do a butterfly calendar.
PJ: What have been the biggest surprises with your blog so far?
EM: The biggest surprise for me has been realizing how many people enjoy my work!!
PJ: What blogging program do you use for the blog? Did you create this blog yourself? How do you like the program?
EM: I blog using the Blogger/Blogspot website, but I plan on changing that so it is part of my other website. I don't possess a lot of technical/internet knowledge so this is a learning experience for me as well.
