Honolulu Guide: Small Business Blog of the Day
by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): April 4, 2006It's snowing today. It's April and it's snowing. That's part of the "fun" of living in Vermont. I couldn't think of a better time to feature a blog from Hawaii.
What it is
Honolulu Guide is a real estate blog for the Honolulu area, written by ReMax real estate agent Tony Kawaguchi.
Features
Well balanced content. You will find descriptions and photos of homes for sale, general advice about buying a home and moving, and specific information about real estate in the Honolulu area. For example, there are a few posts discussing the heavy rainfall Hawaii has received this year and how it is affecting the market.
Favorite Post
Here Tony describes the best and the worst of choosing Hawaii as your home. This is especially eye-opening for haoles like myself.
Further Comments
I really like this blog. It's pretty new (archives back to December) but has tons of content on it. It's clear that Tony is really putting a lot of time into this. His effort seems to be paying off as a local newspaper featured the blog in a recent article (pdf).
A blog for a salesman makes tons of sense to me. Typically salesmen take years to build reputations and contacts where a blog can build both very quickly.
