Today's blog should be useful on a few levels. It is a well written, high-content blog on a very specific subject, and that subject should benefit just about any company looking to start a blog.

Aaron Wall's SEO Book is today's Small Business Blog of the Day. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and is the art of designing and coding your website so that search engines like Google and Yahoo! rank you at the top of search results beneficial to your company. The blog is a soft sell to a pdf download book ($79) that Wall sells on the site.

One of the best resources on the net regarding SEO. For free, you may read the blog for hours, learning all kinds of high-impact things you can do to help your blog reach the top of search engine results. Why is this so important? It's FREE advertising. Just by writing and designing a certain way, you can jump up to a coveted place for a search result and it doesn't cost anything out of pocket to do so. But the results may include receiving thousands of visitors to your site that never would have known you existed otherwise.

Favorite Post
I actually read this post weeks ago but now that I see it again, I remember how much I enjoyed it. The post is based on a "typical email" that Aaron receives that basically asks him to take pity on the sender and send him his product for free. I like this post because I have received very similar letters.

If they are a paying customer you might want to give them a bit of a nudge in the right direction (they probably deserve a shot if they already paid you), but usually it is just better to give them a refund than to engage in an ongoing conversation with someone like that.

This is a well done blog for a business that is totally online. I like that the blog is very focused and the information is extremely useful. As I said, I consider this blog important enough that I subscribe to its RSS feed and read it nearly every day.
