800-CEO-READ Daily Blog is the blog for the online business book retailer, 800CEOREAD.com from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Employee Todd Sattersten writes the posts while President Jack Covert offers recommendations. In addition, guest writers add articles pertaining to their own works.

Favorite Post
Jack Covert Selects: Chasing Daylight is a post in a series where the President reviews a book for the blogging audience. In this review, Jack mentions a book written by a CEO who finds he has only a few months to live. This review is so powerful (probably because the book is so powerful) that I would have ordered it immediately had it been available in audio format.

"As he slows down his life and prepares--realize that he was never in pain because he chose not to do chemo--he continued to write. The final chapter is the story of his actual death told by his wife.

All in all folks, this is what books are about. Teaching us stuff we think we know but we don't. This book is going to be my third 'I guarantee you will like this book or your money back.' Just email me and I'll take the book back, credit you the book and shipping."

How good is this blog? It's so good, it's one of those rare blogs that qualify for a "trifecta!" 1) it's a Small Business Blog of the Day because it's a great example of a small business blog, 2) in addition to the site being a great example of a great blog the material , and 3) it will make it into my RSS reader as a permanent RSS feed.

I wish the posts included pictures of the books (the main website does include photos), but that's pretty nit-picky as this is an astounding blog that's been around since April '04.
