Favorite Post
This post actually features a series of posts that document the progress of a painting Leanne is working on. The Great Blue Heron begins as an illustration and gets color added to it over the period of a few days.
"This canvas is 18″ x 36″. Mmhmm. That means this Great Blue Heron will be just shy of life sized at around 30" tall. This will be an amazing piece indeed..."
Further Comments
This is the second blog that I have featured for an artist (the first being Judith Heartsong). A trend with each of these blogs is that they are noticeably personal compared to the average business blog. I think this really serves to make a strong personal connection with the artist in a way you might not want to personally connect with another type of business person, say a dentist.
We have a desire to strongly connect with artists because their work strikes us in such a personal way. Regardless what we think about Leanne's paintings or photographs, we are drawn to her personality through her blog in a way that gives her work more meaning and impact when we experience it.
