Today's Small Business Blog of the Day is the blog for Sabre Yachts in Raymond, Maine. Sabre Yachts has manufactured sailing vessels since 1970 and motorized yachts since 1989.

Wow. This is a terrific blog. Pictures. Great articles. Very professional looking. Links that lead to more information about the company. Easy to navigate. Ok, now I want a yacht!

Favorite Post
Time to Build the Deck is a typical post on Sabre Yachts. It shows one aspect of the production process in very nice detail with a nice photograph helping to illustrate the procedure. This picture shows the anti-slip areas of the deck being painted a contrast color to the rest of the deck.

"In order to put the 2nd color on we have to first tape out all of the smooth areas of the deck so that the anti slip surfaces are the only ones exposed. The orange areas seen in this image are the areas we spray first."

Further Comments
As I've said, this is really an excellent blog. The only thing I would ask for is more. The posting frequency has been a little thin lately, but this was offset for me because the blog has been around long enough to have a large number of posts on it with really interesting information. Still, if Sabre wants visitors to come back and really get connected to their product, I would suggest writing something every 2-3 days to keep people coming back. Do more of the same because what they're writing about is working, working, working.
