This blog doesn't quite make the cut

by Brian Brown (follow me on Twitter): May 30, 2006

A few weeks ago, Michael Rolph sent me an email asking to consider his Leverage Blog for the Small Business Blog of the Day. He also submitted a comment on my post about what qualifies a blog for consideration on this website.

While I've chosen not to feature this blog as a SBBotD, I wanted to give the site some props for being a nice resource for small businesses looking to blog. Michael has written a lot of useful articles to explain the process of blogging, web 2.0, and internet marketing. Check it out when you have some time to read and absorb.

Why not a SBBotD? Just too many sites like this out there with general information about blogging. If Michael begins adding a bunch of articles discussing his specific clients, their issues, his experiences, etc, it will go to the top of the list.

This is the second blog I've used to further define what I am looking for for the Small Business Blog of the Day. The other one was Mad About Madrid. Not every blog makes the cut, but I will always consider your small business blog and let you know why it does or doesn't qualify, though it may be in the form of a personal email rather than a post like this.

Cheers.
