Learn what RSS is in 100 words

According to eMarketer, 88% of US employees do not know what an RSS feed is. Actually, it is a little hard to explain.
How would you define RSS in 100 words or less?
Here's my attempt:
Blogs create a hidden page that normal websites do not have called an RSS feed. This page contains the latest blog posts in a simple format and updates whenever we write a new post. This format allows the posts to be read by a program called an RSS reader. The advantage to using an RSS reader instead of visiting the actual blog is that it's way faster, especially if you wish to read the content of dozens of blogs every day.
